Elation besets the damnation
Sipping down the last of his glass
Surely he’s forfeit the, very, last of his will,
Like the introvert dwells on his past,
The pressure built and built until
Alas, he could no longer hold it in.
All morality, every last bit of sanity,
All now flown, out the window,
He, exposed to the bitter vanity
Of our reality, pops open
The next can.
He knows that it is a foolish thing to do,
But ceases to care for his reputation,
And with each sip, all his sorrows, all his woes
Seem to fade into the background whilst elation
Besets the damnation.
